Aerotim Engineering’s International Success Was Featured in MSI’s TDR Issue 188

Aerotim Engineering, which has been involved in many projects at home and abroad with its flight simulators, has been recognized by the Service Exporters’ Association (HİB) as one of the top three exporting companies in the category of “Engineering, Architectural, Scientific and Other Technical Services”.

The Service Exporters Meeting and Award Ceremony, organised by HİB for the first time this year, was held at the Istanbul Congress Centre on 21 December with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan; Vice President Fuat Oktay; Ruhsar Pekcan, Minister of Trade; Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk, Minister of Family, Labour and Social Services; Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Minister of Culture and Trade; Fahrettin Koca, Minister of Health; İsmail Gülle, Chairman of the Turkish Exporters’ Assembly (TİM); and M. İlker Aycı, Chairman of the Service Exporters’ Association, as well as many important names from the business world.

As a result of their successful export activities in 2018, the companies ranking at the top of their respective sectors were awarded in 17 sectoral categories and in an additional special category, with a total of 52 institutions and organisations receiving awards. Among these companies, Aerotim Engineering ranked third in the “Engineering, Architectural, Scientific and Other Technical Services” category.

Aerotim Engineering’s areas of expertise include Full Flight Simulators for Helicopters, the development of Control Algorithms for Rotary Wing Platforms, Computational Fluid Dynamics and Embedded Systems in Compliance with Military Standards. Boasting more than 10 years of experience, Aerotim Engineering offers a wide range of services, including project management and project consultancy, the development of subsystem software, the development of flight dynamic models, and the development of fully integrated flight simulators in accordance with international standards. The company also assumes important roles in the leading helicopter simulator projects in Europe and Turkey. Speaking to MSI TDR upon receiving the award, Dr. İlkay Yavrucuk, Founder and CEO of Aerotim Engineering, said: “In Turkey, we undertake important tasks for the simulators developed for T129 ATAK, BLACK HAWK S-70 and Cougar helicopters. Furthermore, as the only developer of the flight dynamics software used in helicopter simulators, we are the sole source in this field in Turkey. Building on the power we have gained from our domestic projects, we have also taken part in important simulator projects abroad, and continue to do so, and this award is an indicator of our successes abroad. Continuing along this path towards great goals, we will endeavour both to meet the needs at home and to make a name for our country abroad through our successes.”
