HELSIM Project

Aerotim played a key role in the Helicopter Simulators (HELSIM) Project –a Blackhawk S-70 Simulator project of Havelsan, Turkey- and made significant contributions to the completion of the program.

Aerotim assumed responsibility of the completion of the development of the aerodynamic, rotor dynamic, automatic flight control system, engine and transmission models.

The HELSIM Project, which was launched in 2005, was for the supply of flight training devices and facilities for the training of the pilots of Land Forces Command (LFC) and Turkish Naval Forces Command (TNFC). Accordingly, simulators were to be developed for the Sikorsky S-70A-28Ds and Sikorsky S-70A-28 DSARs in the inventory of the LFC, and for the Sikorsky S-70Bs (SEA HAWK) in the inventory of the TNFC.

Our models are continuing to run in the HELSIM simulators that are used for the training of hundreds of pilots each year.
